Training

Here at the Lakeside Reiki Centre we offer throughout the year various Reiki training opportunities.  Reiki has a way of making itself known to you – like an itch that you need to scratch.  We have over the years attuned many students from all walks of life including Macmillan and District Nurses, G.P. and therapists, men and women to Reiki, as everyone has the ability to heal.

We offer the following courses:

Reiki 1 (10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) 2 days

Reiki 1 is the foundation level for your Reiki journey. This is where self-healing begins.  Students are taught the hand positions necessary for giving themselves a Reiki treatment.  Also the hand positions for giving a full Reiki treatment on a couch and chair for use on family and friends.  The five principles of Reiki are also introduced.

Four initiations are given in The Sanctuary over the two days, and a journal given to each student for them to record their own journey.  The Reiki 1 level is taken usually over a full weekend, with a review day 21 days later after the self-healing discipline has been followed. Following this a certificate is given. Small classes of not more than 8 students are booked to give each student attention. At the completion of the weekend you will be able to exchange a full Reiki treatment, and will receive a certificate after the 21 days of self-healing.

Cost £180 including lunch on both days (prepared by Reeds Hotel)

Reiki 11  (Allowing at least 12 weeks between Reiki 1 and Reiki 11) 2 days

This is where your journey with Reiki begins to deepen.  This is an advanced course available to students who have worked with first degree for some time (at least 12 weeks) and feel drawn to work at a deeper level.

The sacred symbols are revealed and their meaning and purpose are taught.  Participants learn how to give a “distant healing” – a highly effective method for situations where the person receiving the healing cannot be present, or when you feel you need to heal some aspect of your own life, past, present or future.

You will also be introduced to our unique Original Reikibear, which is a bear that was given to Daisa in meditation, and hand crafted in the U.K. after her quest to Mount Kurama in Japan in 2003.  He is an absolute delight, and has been created specifically for use for Distant healing i.e. his arms are comfortable to hold, his head has a protruding nose, he has moveable joints and he is just adorable.

Cost £250 (including lunch on both days).

Including:

Master Level

If you feel drawn to teach Reiki to others, this is the level where you will have needed to have embraced the 5 principles of Reiki throughout your Reiki journey, along with offering Reiki healing for at least three years with a proven record and attunements with a recognised lineage with Reiki Masters for levels 1 and 11.

Refresher days (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

These are arranged to suit individuals and can be either at weekends, or during the week depending on circumstances, and is ideal for those students who have lapsed with their Reiki healing.

Cost £45 including sandwich lunch and refreshments

Reiki Exchanges (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)

We hold a Reiki exchange each 1st Saturday of the month. This is an ideal opportunity to give and receive a Reiki treatment with fellow practitioners, re-connecting with our Reiki family, taking advantage of our peaceful surroundings.

Cost £10 per person

Introductions to Reiki Evenings (7.30 – 9.30 p.m. free of charge)

These evenings are very useful if you would like to understand more about Reiki, and how it can help you in your life.  We usually hold these evenings in the Bodhi Room where you can look around the centre and facilities, please enquire for our next available dates.
